Fireworks are a very exciting and beautiful way to celebrate the 4th of July. This special day has become one of those moments when families and friends all across the United States get together to watch the magical show in the sky.

We’re sure there are many places to watch gorgeous 4th of July fireworks, but we chose these ones as our favorites:

-     New York: One of the most beautiful ways to enjoy fireworks is when the show takes place over water, where colorful figures are reflected. New York’s East River is a unique place to watch 4th of July fireworks, and there are plenty of different spots to catch the show, such as going to the Empire State Building, to a rooftop bar, taking one of several cruises, or visiting the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. The show has taken place over the Hudson River for the last five years, but this year it will go back to the East River, to be set off from the Brooklyn Bridge.

-     San Francisco: Another magical city to watch fireworks over the water is the San Francisco Bay Area. There are many different activities to celebrate 4th of July, as well as several options for watching the fireworks. They are set off from the end of the Municipal Pier and from barges north of Pier 39, such cruises, ferries, islands, and many waterfront spots.

-     Washington: Of course, Washington D.C. is a very appropriate and special place to celebrate Independence. You can enjoy the beauty of the fireworks that are set off the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, over the Washington Monument, and among many other activities that include concerts, festivals and parades.

-     Home: Also, if for any reason you can’t go to any of these –or other– places, you can always relax and watch the fireworks on TV from the comfort of home.

Enjoy the holiday!
